Holiday Helpers Warehouse 2021 Appeal Letter

/ / Blog Post

As I write this letter, 2021 continues to be a difficult year for children and families in Contra Costa County. COVID-19 has had a devastating impact on our community, with more than 100,000 cases in Contra Costa County alone since the pandemic began. Families continue to feel this impact with stress and uncertainty as they struggle to pay bills.

As the holiday season approaches, we want to reach out to our community partners to show our support of the work they are doing on behalf of our clients and others in the community. With your help we can reach our goal of $30,000 and together, we can strengthen our communities and help our neighbors in West, East, and Central Contra Costa County who have fallen on hard times. Many of these families we serve are the “working poor” who are barely able to make ends meet. We admire their persistence and are here to offer a hand when help is needed.

When your mailboxes are filling up with requests for help, please remember that your tax-deductible donations to VESTIA supports children and families at risk in our community and will go a long way. VESTIA supports people in need locally and because we are affiliated with Contra Costa County Employment & Human Services Department, we have virtually no administrative costs.

Donations can be made by visiting our Holiday Helpers Warehouse Page . You may also send your check to VESTIA, Inc., 400 Ellinwood Way, Pleasant Hill, CA 94523. Please use the enclosed envelope and write “HHW” on the memo line. VESTIA’s tax ID # is 94-3017952.

Your generosity has brought joy to so many families living in Contra Costa County over the past 36 years.

Thank you for your continued generosity.

Sincerely,

Judy Pieralde, President
